Nepal is a suitable place for volunteers and other travelers where you can explore of its natural beauty along with its rural indigenous people having unique cultures. Nepal is one of the poorest, least-developed countries in the world with over half of its population living below the poverty line. Over 80% of the population relies on agriculture for their livelihood. The majority of the population lives in rural areas that are often very difficult to reach, resulting in a lack of basic infrastructure such as clean water, primary health services, basic food and shelter, communication, electricity service and schools. |
