When should I arrive in Nepal?
---> The training begins on the first and fifteenth of each month. So it would be better if you could arrive a day earlier of the above dates. You are welcome if you would like to arrive few days earlier. Our representative receives and takes you to the hotel. But you have to pay for your own for earlier accommodation before the program starts.
Does any CAS-Staff will come at airport to pick?
---> Yes. Our staff will be there to pick you at the airport with a name card. But, do not forget to give prior information about your arrivals (flight details).
What types of training will I receive?
---> You will receive Nepali language training, cultural training and other orientation about Nepali life styles, rural norms and values. |

Does CAS-Nepal provide any financial support?
---> Unfortunately, CAS-Nepal is not in position to support you financially.
Where will I have to stay during the training period?
---> During the first phase you will receive training either in Kathmandu or chitwan. During the second phase you will have to stay in the villages around the Kathmandu valley or Chitwan with Nepalese family .Your training period depends on how long you want to do volunteer work.

How much money do I need?
---> It is difficult to give exact information on this regard. It depends on your duration of stay and additional activities entertained by you (shopping, traveling, telephone, internet, club etc.). But life in village is very cheap as compared to the town area .You don’t have to worry for your food and accommodation during our program period.
How can I ensure my place in your program?
---> After getting your flight details, your placement will be ensured in our program. |

What kinds of things do I need to bring?
---> Sleeping bags, hiking boots, Flip flops, Fleece jacket (during winter), water proof jacket (during summer), sarong, mosquito repellent/net, sun cream, water treatment tablets, flash light, pen knife, books/readable materials about your interest .It is advisable to bring your cell phone for your easy communication as you can buy local mobile card here in Nepal.
Do I need to prepare myself for teaching English before my arrival in Nepal?
---> It would be helpful for you to brush up your grammatical knowledge and methodology of teaching. |

Do I need to speak English to join the program?
---> Yes, Basic English is essential for volunteer but if English is your second language that is also ok.
Is there age bar in program?
---> Yes. You must be above 16 and of sound health.
Is it safe to do volunteer in Nepal?
--->Yes, Nepal is quite safe destination for volunteers and other visitors too.
What kind of immunization/vaccines do I need before coming Nepal?
---> Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B and other preventive care is essential.
Do I need travel and medical insurance?
---> Yes. We strongly recommend for these things.
Does Program fee include flight ticket?
--->No, you have to bear your flight ticket yourself.
Can I come with a friend or can I be placed near other volunteers?
--->We allow people to come with a friend or even in a large group. You sometimes may be placed in different houses located within 1-2 miles. You will be staying near other volunteers' placement. We can't place two volunteers at the same home unless they are a married couple.
